Nokia isn’t the powerhouse brand it once was, but the Finnish company still knows how to deliver products that catch everyone’s attention. The latest is the Power Earbuds, which contain up to 150 hours of battery life and are now available in more markets. First unveiled at IFA 2019 last September, the Power Earbuds were first made available in parts of Europe, such as in the UK and Germany, and have slowly made their way to other parts of the world. As an entry point into Asia, the true wireless earbuds can now be bought in China.

For Those Who Are Always on the Road

The highlighted feature of the Power Earbuds is the 150 hours of battery life provided by the charging case. For context, that’s 6.25 days of continuous usage on a single charge. This is made possible by a battery capacity of 3000mAh, which is the size you would normally find on a smartphone. As for the buds themselves, they last up to five hours after a full charge. Combined with the generous charging case, the play time can easily last for weeks with moderate usage. Credit must also be given to the Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. It’s more power-efficient compared to previous versions of the wireless tech. And because music is outputted through 6mm graphene drivers, you’re assured of a quality listening experience. You can take these anywhere too, thanks to IPX7-rated water resistance. There are two colors to choose from: Charcoal Black and Light Gray. Nokia has yet to mention other color options in the pipeline. Aside from the usual interchangeable ear tips — a choice between small, medium, and large — you’ll also be glad to know that the case charges through a USB-C port. This allows you to use your laptop or smartphone’s charger when needed, assuming it’s not an iPhone.

Fair Pricing for the Specs You Get

Being a relative newcomer to the true wireless market, the Power Earbuds retail for a competitive price of CNY699 (~USD$100). This puts it in the same price bracket as the popular Galaxy Buds of Samsung and Apple’s AirPods without wireless charging. Nokia hasn’t given details on when we’ll see the Power Earbuds in more markets. But as long as Nokia has an official retailer in your country, you could expect them to arrive eventually.
